About Dawn  Obrecht

I am a 40 year old fantasy artist.  I am married to my soul mate and we have 4 beautiful, smart, funny, crazy, creative girls!  

 

I started seriously arting in 2004 and worked primarily in watercolors with some of my beginning pieces completed in colored pencil.

 

A year ago I came back from a 4 year hiatus (I got a job outside the home then) and now I work with professional art marker with accents in watercolor, colored pencil and iridescent medium.

 

The one thing that hasn't changed in 10+ years is my genre.  I adore drawing faeries and mermaids.  I also like doing Celtic knots.  

 

I may not be able to art all the time with my children being active in band, choir, show choir, track, cross country and soccer.  And with my having a full time job.  But I do what I can when I can.
